Designed for 6th Graders or equivalent. This module provides the science and psychology behind digital media’s impact on social, emotional, and behavioral influences. Students will be introduced to digital influences shaping digital addiction, culture, and climate. The lesson gives tips on recognizing emotions being manipulated by digital misinformation, virtual platforms, and online behaviors. Learners will identify ways to overcome digital problems, predatory behaviors, and the value of slowing digital communication down. Being digital safe and secure is a focus in this unit.
